When it’s not Easy or Cool, Brave Leaders say Brave Things
I have found that many people are willing to be disruptive and join a cause that is gaining traction. I have also found that few people are willing to challenge the people who corrupt a just cause.

Brave Leaders say Brave Things…Always…Not when it’s easy; Not when it’s cool….Always.
Now is one of those times….
If you know me or follow me, you know that I have been actively engaged in the current movements around social justice. My core values and personal commitment to courage over comfort demand that I use my voice to speak for peace and dignity for EVERY human being.
As a leader, I seek to continually educate myself. Unlearning and new learning are the foundation of genuine human growth. I have recently become acutely and personally aware of the fact that many of us (especially women) are being used by ill-purposed and violent organizations under the guise of justice.
To be clear, I stand for justice, kindness, courage, and grace as I believe that is what the Creator asks of each of us – we must be the voice for the oppressed, but not for those who seek to destroy the very foundation of human dignity and life.
I will never stand with those who use violence, evil, and hatred against humanity in any way. The modern world changers I look to for higher guidance have always used peace… Malala Yousafzai, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela…just to name a few.
We get what we give in this world…why would be willing to accept the idea that giving violence to others will bring peace to ourselves?
Violence, anger, and destruction are rooted in Fear. Courage, peace, and resistance are rooted in Hope.
Which mindset will you be aligned with as the world continues to change?
